Dr. Pamela Dottin Visits the Accreditation Unit/National Accreditation Board
Dr. Pamela Dottin, Quality Assurance Officer/Re-Accreditation Co-ordinator, Quality Assurance Unit of the Open Campus University of the West Indies paid a courtesy call to the Accreditation Unit, Ministry of Education / National Accreditation Board.
Dr. Dottin made the call on Monday 28th January 2019 and was accompanied by Head of the local Open Campus site, Mrs. Deborah D. P. Dalrymple, MSW Head of Site University of the West Indies.
In 2012, the Open Campus was granted Institutional Accreditation by the Barbados Accreditation Council (BAC) for six (6) years ending on the 17th June, 2019. Resultantly, the UWI Open Campus Accreditation status expires on 17th June 2019. Mr. Kenroy Questelles Director of the National Qualification Department in the Ministry of Education was the local observer when the site visit was conducted in Trinidad and Tobago.
Dr. Dottin’s visit was in preparation for the upcoming re-accreditation / evaluative process on 6th March 2019. Two representative of the National Accreditation Board of St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be observers at the local leg of the UWI Open campus re-accreditation site visit.
Senior Education Officer in the Ministry of Education with responsibility for registration and accreditation accommodated the visit. Both parties discussed matters of mutual benefit to the regional quality assurance ethos.
