The National Accreditation Board (NAB) of St. Vincent and the Grenadines formally accepted an invitation to host Caribbean Area Network for Quality Assurance in Tertiary Education (CANQATE) annual Conference in 2020. The acceptance was made at the 16th annual CANQATE conference in, St. Georges, Grenada on Thursday 24th October 2019.
Chairman of the National Accreditation Board, Dr. Rosalind Ambrose, informed the meeting of about 200 delegates that SVG was preparing to host about 200 delegates the Caribbean, Canada and the United Kingdom. The 17th Annual Conference will be held under the theme “Higher Education: Quality Standards and the Global Market. The Chairman indicated that several sub-themes have already been identified and the call for papers would be made by the NAB shortly.
The Vincentian contingent at CANQATE 2019 was comprised of thirteen persons from various institutions. These include the SVG Community College, the Trinity Medical Sciences University, The American University of St. Vincent, the Bethel Bible College of the Caribbean (St. Vincent campus), the Saint Teresa University and the SVG School of Continuing Education. The team returned to the state on Friday 25th October.
