Three Evaluators representing the National Accreditation Board (NAB) conducted a reregistration exercise at the Bethel Bible College of the Caribbean (BBCC) Saint Vincent Campus on Thursday 5th September 2019. The BBCC was formerly known as the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Theological College (S.V.G.T.C).  The S.V.G.T.C was opened in September 1973 by Mr. Isaac Soleyn.

The term for the current CANQATE Board ends in October 2019 and we are seeking nominations for all positions.

The Board of Management of CANQATE comprises ten (10) persons, including the Regional Co-ordinators and the immediate Past President. The Regional Co-ordinators are members of the Board by virtue of their position. The President shall be elected from an external quality assurance agency. The immediate Past President shall serve as an ex officio member of the Board, without voting rights.

Nominees must signify their willingness to serve if elected and must be able to dedicate adequate time to the task. Effective time management is a critical skill that nominees should possess. Generally, CANQATE requires a Board that is committed to its mission and is willing to be active in its governance. Eligible persons should be representing members in good financial standing and should be:

a. Committed to the ideals of CANQATE
b. Experienced in quality assurance processes and procedures
c. Willing to take responsibility for projects d. Good team players
e. Willing to go beyond the call of duty to ensure the success of CANQATE
f. Able to dedicate at least two days a month to the affairs of CANQATE

Nominations should be accompanied by:
1. Written confirmation by nominee of agreement to serve if elected and endorsed by Head of their agency/institution; and
2. A biographical note of the candidate, of not more than 250 words.

Vinsave Readies Itself for the Registration Process


Director of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Save the Children Fund (VINSAVE), Mrs. Janice Fraser and External Assessor Mrs. Jacquline Robinson-Massiah met with the Accreditation Unit on Monday 26th August 2019. The officers were given the opportunity to engage in consultations with the National Accreditation Board (NAB) through the Accreditation Unit (AU).

The officers support the management of VINSAVE formerly known as the Canadian Save the Children Fund (Cansave). VINSAVE provides training in the delivery of Early Childhood Education & Development as well as Parenting.

The consultations provided the Vinsave officers with the opportunity to place the services offered by their institution in a historical context. The framework for the forward thrust of the officers Fraser and Robinson-Massiah to provide a background to the quality assurances undertaken in an earlier dispensation of Vinsave.

Senior Education Officer Descima Hamilton on behalf of the NAB/AU provided guidelines on the steps necessary for a collaborative approach towards ensuring a successful outcome in the registration process. There will be follow up consultations but no timelines were discussed.
